This is a shout-out to a friend of mine, who is re-reading Dune and doing a podcast, chapter by chapter, sharing his thoughts along the way.
Having listened to the first chapter, it’s funny that he chose to do this in a stream-of-consciousness way. It somehow seems appropriate, given Paul’s journey.
As the quote from the site says, this isn’t about a deep lore dive or analysing the literature or anything. This podcast is for those out there who like sitting with a friend and listen to them geek out for a few minutes, possibly resurfacing some of your own memories and thoughts about the subject along the way.
Sure this won’t be for everyone, but maybe you just read Dune and have no one to talk about it with. Or maybe you read it years ago and want to listen to someone else’s thoughts. Or maybe you’re reading it now, and you can follow along on this journey.
If you’re curious about my thoughts on Dune, I wrote a review of it here.
